How it Works
The ExactPower design uses an error-free, feed-forward technique, called an open loop system to avoid the time lag associated with measuring the regulated output. It continuously compares the instantaneous value of the input AC voltage waveform to a pure, amplitude stabilized AC reference waveform, which is phase-locked to the input line voltage.

The Problem
The problem is simply that wall-socket AC is not clean. Instead, it's almost always dirty. Sometime extraordinarily so.

Common small-scale power surges, those caused by refrigerator compressors cycling on and off, hair dryers, food processors, etc., add performance-robbing 'hash' to the AC line that can cripple voltage-sensitive ICs (integrated circuits). Even if this noise doesn't overtly damage components, it can wreak havoc on sound and video images. Worst of all, AC-borne 'hash' is virtually never-ending. Even if you're not running a motor in your household, rest assured that a neighbor (whether next door or blocks away) is.

In addition to voltage problems, there are current impeding problems with the AC line. These impedances reduce the current to your audio and video gear, thus impeding the maximum performance.

The Solution
ExactPower's approach to providing efficient, clean, regulated AC power goes far beyond convention.

Knowing that filtered wall socket AC was, at best, only a partial answer, ExactPower's engineers researched various ways to generate truly low-distortion AC for distribution to system components. Drawing on extensive experience in designing commercial power sources capable of delivering up to 25,000 watts, our team created the ExactPower EP15A, the next generation of efficient, subcycle regulators specifically designed for high resolution audio and video components.

Specifically, ExactPower's engineers designed a patent-pending, error-free, 'feed forward' technique.

A sophisticated differential comparator circuit monitors incoming AC power from the wall socket, instantaneously compares it to an internal amplitude-stabilized AC reference source. It then corrects any imperfections in the incoming AC signal. That corrected signal, in turn, serves as the source for a high efficiency power amplifier. Since this technique's speed is theoretically unlimited, it corrects even high frequency sub-cycle disturbances without the instabilities that can cause oscillation problems in functionally comparable but far less sophisticated products.

ExactPower products provide rock-stable 120 volt output with up to 46 amps of peak to peak current capability even when wall socket AC voltage varies from 90 through 135. In fact, the ExactPower EP15A high current output means that even large power amplifiers will rarely tax its capabilities.

The Improvement
The sonic improvements in an audio system include fuller bass; wider dynamics; higher volume levels at normal settings; huge, open soundstage; and very detailed articulation of the mid and high frequencies.

In a video system a viewer will experience improved color saturation; contrast and brightness levels; elimination of dot crawl; dramatically increased sharpness; greatly reduced video artifacts, graininess, noise and distortion; and a more three-dimensional effect from the video source.

Truly clean and stabile AC will INSTANTLY upgrade an entire audio or video system. The quality and scope of the improvements provided by the EP15A cannot be duplicated by any single product (nor combination of products) on the market today, no matter what the cost.
